About Aliyah

Aliyah is an avid reader, writer, fashion designer and enthusiastic dancer.

In January 2017, she published her first poetry compilation Miss conceptions. Since then, she has pursued writing poetry, later also serving as a peer review ambassador on the teen writing website Write the World.

In July 2017, Aliyah moved to Austin, Texas, from Delhi, India. Since she entered high school in 2018, she has also been pursuing an interest in fashion design. On February 23, 2019, she will be exhibiting her first designed garment at the annual fundraising gala for the Round Rock ISD PIE Foundation.

Since a very young age, Aliyah has also been an invested dancer. Her love for music and movement directed her towards an education in Kathak under the guidance of Pt. Jai Kishan Maharaj, and Smt. Ruby Mishra. She is still continuing her education, and has performed at various occasions such as the Pandit Birju Maharaj Parampara Varshik Utsav at the Kamani Auditorium in New Delhi, and more recently, the CTBA Saraswati Puja in Austin, TX

She currently lives in Austin, TX.
